Visiting or Sending Mail to the Courthouse

Hours

The Courthouse is generally open from 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. Access at other times (generally by special arrangement in advance) is obtained through the District Court Commissioner's entrance on the northeast side of the Bourne wing next to the parking garage.

Please note that there are many state and county offices in the Courthouse, and each of these may have different public access hours. If you are planning to visit an office in the Courthouse other than the Circuit Court, you should check with that office for its public access hours.

Mail

If you are planning to send mail to the Courthouse, please try to use the room number for the person or office in your address. The Courthouse is a large building housing many different state and county government offices. Mail with only a person's name and the street address of the Courthouse is likely to be undeliverable.

Locations

The Courthouse consists of three wings connected on the first and second floors: the Duvall (oldest) wing, facing Main Street; and the Marbury (Circuit Court) and Bourne (District Court and state office) wings facing Judges' Drive and Pennsylvania Avenue. There is a parking garage for employees with limited public parking on the east end of the Bourne wing. There is ample free parking at the Equestrian Center with frequent shuttle buses to the Courthouse.

There is also a Courthouse Annex housing Circuit Court courtrooms located at:

The Courthouse Annex is located within walking distance, between the main Courthouse and the County Administration Building.
