SCHEDULED FOR QUADRUPLE BYPASS SURGERY
Prince George’s Council Member Thomas R. Hendershot (D-District 3) is scheduled to undergo quadruple bypass surgery on November
2, 2004 at Prince George’s Hospital Center.
Hendershot, 60, expects to be out of the office during the month of November. His staff will be available to help constituents
with their concerns during his absence.
According to Council Member Hendershot, who is a member of the Dimensions Oversight Panel, he chose to have the surgery at
Prince George’s Hospital Center because he knows he will get excellent medical treatment there. Hendershot said,
“I feel very strongly that the only way for the hospital to recover financially is for paying customers to go there to help
offset the loss from indigent patients.
If anyone is going to make money off my heart, I want it to be Prince George’s Hospital Center.”
Hendershot plans to vote Tuesday morning before reporting to the hospital for his surgery.
He encourages all citizens to vote in this very important election.
